Description

Outdoor construction‑site brings severe challenges for OTDR launch cables: humidity, temperature swing, dew condensation inside storage case, dust and splashing water may degrade test accuracy or damage reference fiber. Ordinary flexible fiber‑ring cannot stand long‑term harsh open‑air deployment.

LFC‑A rugged launch fiber cable box is purpose‑built for demanding outdoor OTDR testing scenarios. It eliminates OTDR initial dead‑zone to acquire trustworthy near‑end connector insertion‑loss and reflectance data which cannot be measured when directly connecting OTDR to live fiber link.

Housing adopts high‑density non‑metallic polypropylene yellow high‑visibility case: IP67 waterproof / dust‑proof, anti‑corrosion, non‑conductive. Built‑in auto altitude purge‑valve dynamically equalizes internal‑external air pressure with altitude & temperature shift, preventing condensation dew inside box, protecting internal reference fiber.

Default fitted with premium YOFC single‑mode fiber. Supports SM G.652D / G.657A and multimode fiber. Wide options for SC / FC / LC UPC / APC connectors. It can be deployed as launch‑cable beside OTDR, or second unit as far‑end receive‑cable for full‑link compliance acceptance.

Perfect choice for outdoor construction, field calibration, FTTx / CATV / backbone acceptance work under complicated environmental conditions.

Need compact coiled‑ring budget‑style launch cable? View FR Fiber‑Ring.
For identical IP67 box but equipped with Corning fiber variant, check LFC‑B launch cable box.
For lab‑grade bare‑fiber calibration reel without outer protective box, see BFR bare fiber reel.

FAQ

Q1: What is difference between FR Fiber‑Ring, LFC‑A, LFC‑B and BFR bare‑fiber reel?
A: FR Fiber‑Ring is compact coiled‑ring launch/receive cable; flexible or armored choice, fits OTDR bag for general field jobs. LFC‑A / LFC‑B are IP67 waterproof hard box‑type launch cable for harsh outdoor environment. LFC‑A uses default YOFC fiber; LFC‑B uses default Corning fiber. BFR is bare‑fiber reel without protective outer jacket, mainly for laboratory calibration and R&D, NOT for rough field dragging.

Q2: Why need auto purge valve for launch‑cable box?
A: When working outdoor with large temperature & altitude variation, sealed box easily builds internal condensation dew. Auto purge‑valve balances internal‑external air pressure and avoids dew forming, protects reference fiber inside.

Q3: What is difference LFC‑A vs LFC‑B?
A: Mechanical housing and all mechanical specifications are identical. Only difference is default fiber: LFC‑A pre‑installed with YOFC fiber; LFC‑B pre‑installed with Corning fiber.

Q4: Can LFC‑A serve both as launch‑cable and far‑end receive‑cable?
A: Yes. Deploy one unit at OTDR side as launch‑cable; place second unit at far‑end fiber termination point as receive‑cable to capture far‑end connector loss.

Q5: Can I get custom connectors / custom length / OEM private‑label?
A: Yes, mixed‑connectors, custom length and OEM private‑label service are supported.
