OCID-B Outdoor Optical Cable Identifier | OCID-B Optical Cable Identifier - VFL |
As demand for optical fiber increase now, the numbers of fibers in a single optical cable can be as many as 2096 individual fibers. As more fiber cables are buried underground, it becomes extremely difficult for the telecom engineers and technicians to manage the cables because cables may take different pathways, or be labeled incorrectly, or the labels are missing. As vast large number of optical cable being deployed by different service providers, new players such as utility, cable companies and telecom incumbents, it is crucial to correctly locate the target desired cables in outside plant.
OCID-B Outdoor Optical Cable Identifier is adaptive to various environment. It can detect and locate the target fiber cable when the fiber is under cut or splicing condition. It also works with all kinds of fibers connectors including APC. An Easy-to-Use Method of cable identification.
Features:
Easy to use with touchscreen and keys
Low power consumption, and longer working time
Senses mechanical vibration of optical cables over hundreds of kilometers
Identifies target optical cables via audio or visual signals (bar graph or pulse mode) in complex environments
Usable in various line environments (for example, the line is broken or uses PC or APC connectors at the end)
Automatic and manual operation modes
Lossless detection and high identification accuracy
