Fiber Optical Splice Closure

Fiber optic splice closure (FOSC) is a passive component which can provide a great protection for fiber splicing point. Aerially assembling, pipeline assembling or buried underground are all available. Generally, fiber optic splice closure is divided into cap type (vertical) and half type (horizontal).


The cap type fiber optic splice closure is also called dome type fiber optic splice closure or vertical fiber optic splice closure. The input and output ports are at the bottom of the fiber optic splice closure. This kind of fiber optical splice closure is more suitable for the application on accessing layer.


The half type fiber optic closure is also called horizontal type fiber optic splice closure. The input and output are on the both sides. This type fiber optic splice closure is more suitable for backbone application.


Various shapes fiber optic splice closure of both type are available. All the fiber optic splice closures are fully mechanical sealing structure which ensure a great sealing performance. High quality ABS or PP material also ensures the durability no matter the fiber optic splice closure is in air, in pipeline or buried underground.
